in Baltimore

Vikatadamshtri Buddhist Center provides public classes in Buddhist meditation that are suitable for all levels. Numerous special meditation courses and retreats open to everyone complement regular study and meditation programs. The Center offers something for everyone - from the absolute beginner to the more advanced practitioner - enabling local people to experience the many benefits of Buddha's teachings in their daily lives by cultivating their love, compassion, and wisdom.

The Resident Teacher at the Center is Kelsang Chogden. Also teaching at the Center are Kelsang Ösel, Kelsang Drime, Kelsang Gyaltsen, Kelsang Dachog, Kelsang Rabzang, Liz Tarr, Martin Evans, Jim Mooney, and Don Avery. Having studied and practiced Kadampa Buddhism for several years, they provide an inspiring example for everyone, showing practically how to integrate Buddha's advice into contemporary American life.
