Maryland Kadampa Temple Campaign
In September of 2010 the Kadampa Meditation Center-Maryland community set a goal to establish a Kadampa Temple in Baltimore. After a wonderful 12 years in our current home we are embarking on the next step to bring greater peace to the people of the Baltimore area. We have set a goal of raising $100,000 in three years, which you can read about below. We will need money and also the time of volunteers. We hope that you will join us in this endeavor to bring more peace to the world!
Our Vision
- A peaceful main meditation hall that will accommodate at least 100 people and an 8 foot Buddha statue.
- A second meditation room for kids classes, retreats, and other activities.
- A welcoming and relaxing Bookstore/Gift Shop & Lounge with a World Peace Cafe.
- A comfortable dining area for brunches, dinners, and other events.
- Space for overnight guests.
- A World Peace Garden.

Our Financial Goal
To accomplish this goal we have established the Maryland Kadampa Temple Campaign. With this campaign we aim to raise $100,000 over three years- ending December 31, 2013. Our theme is 10 Steps of 10. Our Progress
With our recent fundraiser we raised almost $3500 taking our fund up to nearly $15,000. Within just 2 months we are approaching accomplishing our second of ten steps ($20,000).
