Peace and Pancakes- Sunday Prayers for World Peace
This is held on most Sundays from 10:30-11:45 AM for meditation and prayers for peace, followed at 11:45 AM by a delicious pancake or waffle brunch. Check our calendar for dates.

Help to bring peace to our world through the simple action of meditating together and dedicating our prayers towards world peace. Our prayers are neither small nor passive actions. Rather, they are an inconceivable force for change in our shared world. The mornings include a guided meditation, chanted prayers and a talk based on Buddhist thought. Stay for brunch and make new friends! Everyone is welcome – you do not need to be a Buddhist to attend, or to benefit from the classes – just drop in.

Gen Kelsang Chogden is an American Buddhist nun and the Resident Teacher at the Kadampa Meditation Center Maryland. Her compassionate activities of teaching, guiding, and inspiring those around her are the result of her deep faith, clear wisdom, and heartfelt concern for others. Chogden has been practicing Kadampa Buddhism for approximately 16 years under Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso’s guidance and brings true sincerity and humility to her life as a spiritual teacher.
