Heart Jewel Practice: A Weekend Retreat with Guest Teacher Gen Kelsang Norbu
The essential practice of Kadampa Buddhism is a daily practice of Heart Jewel Prayers with Lamrim meditation. This is the defining characteristic of a Kadampa Buddhist. In this weekend retreat, we will learn how to use these chanted prayers as a guided meditation that connects us with our Spiritual Guide and deepens our understanding of the Lamrim (stages of the path) meditations.
Community Potluck Lunch
Please join us for a vegetarian potluck! This is a great opportunity to get to know more people who are a part of our spiritual community, and to bring family or friends. Please consider staying for the 3pm Wishfulfilling Jewel Prayers with Offerings too!
Art Workshop: Torma Making
Tormas are traditional food offerings (usually made of marzipan) that are offered to the Buddhas in various ritual practices such as empowerments, retreats and chanted prayers.
Learn about the various types of tormas and how to make them in a qualified manner according to the New Kadampa lineage.
Saturday Retreat: Our Limitless Mind

Introduction to Highest Yoga Tantra
Highest Yoga Tantra contains the specific meditation methods for attaining permanent liberation from suffering and the lasting pure peace of enlightenment. To practice these teachings, we must receive the empowerments of the Heruka Body Mandala and Vajrayogini.
These empowerments will be given this Fall at KMC Brazil. This class will help you understand in a more meaningful way why attaining these empowerments is essential for our spiritual development.
Art Workshop: Drawing Buddha
